節妮芙答應我兒子──撒母耳，課後開車載他去買玩具。在前往店家時，興奮的撒母耳和節妮芙作了如下的對話──

節妮芙：你想當我兒子嗎？

撒母耳：不可以。

節妮芙：為甚麼不可以呢？

撒母耳：因為你不是基督徒。

節妮芙：是不是基督徒跟這事情有甚麼關係？

撒母耳：那麼你安息日就不會帶我去教會。

節妮芙：我沒有去是因為我兒子褒伯太小不適合去。

撒母耳：啊呀，那不是問題。連嬰兒都去教會。

節妮芙：但是褒伯去那裡會很吵而且很煩躁。

撒母耳：別擔心那事。我們全部小孩在教會敬拜神以外，也會在一塊玩……。

※節妮芙有兩個孩子，柏琳達和褒伯。柏琳達和撒母耳一樣是7歲，所以節妮芙要求我教撒母耳英文時也一起教柏琳達，也因此他們來教會聚會過一次。他們沒深入地跟我分享為甚麼沒繼續來教會，我也只將這問題留給神。

沒想到撒母耳將這問號留在心中，並適時找出答案；更沒想到的是，即便在我拒絕唾手可得的德國名車後，在他倍感渴望擁有車子的心情下，仍不願用世上的任何東西與自己的基督徒身分交換，這也是為甚麼在這事上稱他為基督精兵。



Jennifer promised to drive my son, Samuel, to buy a toy after class. Samuel was very excited about that while they were going down stairs to the store. And this conversation happened during that period.

Jennifer: Do you want to be my son?

Samuel: No way.

Jennifer: Why not?

Samuel: Because you are not a Christian.

Jennifer: What’s the matter with it?

Samuel: Then you won’t take me to church on Sabbath days.

Jennifer: I don’t go there because my little son, Bob, is too young to be there.

Samuel: Anyway, it doesn’t the matter. There are even babies there.

Jennifer: But Bob will be noisy and fussy there.

Samuel: Don’t worry about it. We children all worship God and play there together.

※ Jennifer has two children, Belinda and Bob. Belinda and Samuel are the same age of seven, so Jennifer asked me to teach Belinda and Samuel English together. Therefore, they went to church once.

They didn’t tell me why they stopped attending the service sincerely, and I just left that question to God. I didn’t know Samuel put it in his mind and tried to find it out on the proper time.

And furthermore, though he’s been longing for a car since I refused to get a famous German car, he refused to exchange being a Christian for anything else on earth. That’s why he is worth being a little Christian soldier in the case.
